Regret It's a bitter feeling A throb which bears no repose A groan which never stills For its source can never Be undone. The source being your error Your sin, that ominous deed Of yours which casted the Shadow of excruciating Regret, which never ends. Regret is the mother of pain A peculiar pain, leaving No solution, but a whole Vacuum of reconciling Hope that disappoints. 'Sorry' is not just a word But a shell which shuts Your ego, a shell wherein that Ego metamorphoses into Regret, slowly but with restraint. And this regret is ambiguous For it vexes your own self Troubles your mind Either it converts you into A child who learned its lesson Or to an adamant adult who Never tends to take a turn For a better cause.
