Nothingness

A ghost wraps itself

Around the belittled me.

The ghost of me nullified.

The minute hand forms

A triangle, striking 1.

Hot sizzling vapours

Of charcoal black

Glides out from my

Hot feverish head.

A dark tunnel of truth

Of loss, of fever

Digs its path in my

Foam filled head.

Outside, in the thin air,

The neem holds its

Head high, in pride

And mocks me

It belittles me.

The street dogs sleep

In the hollow of the

Strange dark night.

Sleeping when they

Should be sound

And sound when they

Should be sleeping.

I love the night.

And its black aura.

The way it giggles like

A stupid monkey

At the face of a numb

Carcass of life.

The purple buds kiss

The adorned night's lips.

And the stars blink.

Tears flow like never

Ending streams

They halt halfway

And they gush again.

At least the night feels

Worth in its ugliness

At least the night closes

Its ears to taunts

And adorns itself like

An eternal rose

Misplaced in a world

Of standards,

I choke in desperation

To find the night in me.
