THE SCAR

       THE SCAR

Your legs start trembling

A gush of pain oozing out

Dizziness blinding your eyes

And the world's falling apart

Series of laughter surrounds

With bulged eyes pointing

Numbness strikes your heart

And weakens its rhythm

The creation of a scar

A wound, blood oozing out

Blood that tastes sour

And fuels the scar to burn

How easy, how sarcastic

The scar goes unnoticed

A heavy mind to bear the depth

To which the scar extends

Alas! The scar clings to the heart

A deep hole being created

Blank space, a dead end

Your mind stays blank

How ironic! The creators forever

Forgets the deep creation

And the victim, forever bears

The scar, a printed mark.

Alas! The scar is wickedly beautiful

For it seldom stops talking

The heart being the listener

Patient, submissive and weak.

A scar with a soul, though

Poisonous, it drains the heart

Imbibes melancholy unto it

And joy becomes a rare guest.

A scar that echoes the dread

Of laughter, the cunning scar

A constant reminder, about

That which you don't have

Irony strikes again! For it

Reminds not just what you lack

But what you have in plenty

Alas! That too being a burden

Nevertheless, time heals

The scar turns into a mark

A mark which regains the sour blood

When the laughter echoes, again.

The scar to a pale mark

And the pale mark back to a scar

A game that never ends,

Juggling in exchange.

And amidst this juggling,

Happiness ought to be found

And love to be embraced

Let them juggle, in parallel.

For life's a circus tent

And you being an acrobat

Juggling emotions side by side

And the 'audience' laughing heartily.

A slip can create a scar

With the 'audience' still laughing

You being all alone, and

The same numbness may strike.

Nevertheless, a hope remains

You being the hope for many

Many, who juggle in despair

And live in darkness.

Rejoice, for you may lift

Those hands up, those with

A scar, a scar that still burns

A scar that stays alive.

For you know the pain, the

Dizziness, those scary emotions

And you would show the light

Of love in souls, that lack hope.

Pour love, you would, into those

Burning scars, for love is the

Remedy, and joy being the

Vaccine, a vaccine of relief.

Embrace this one chance,

This single chance to live

Commence your flight, steady

From the ground to the blue sky

Fly high, like a brave phoenix

Let the scar remain

A gentle reminder, for it'd

Lent the courage to fly.

Witness the scar becoming

The saviour, for your wings

Would forever be strong with

The prints of scars in them.

Never ever would your wings

Be broken, for your scar made them

Sturdy, daring to resist a tempest;

Your scar, your strength!
